Job Description
We’re searching for a multidisciplinary Visual Design Lead to help drive the level of craft, thinking and impact of our product UI and brand design work forward.
Qualifications
Experience leading project teams and streams of work, while remaining hands on with design
Experience managing and mentoring designers, and supporting their growth
Prior experience in design and marketing teams (agency or in-house)A diverse portfolio which demonstrates outstanding visual craft across touchpoints
Expert knowledge of a broad range of our tools (Figma, Adobe CC, After Effects, Sketch, others)
Expert knowledge of design systems creation and operations, and advocacy of their impact and use
A multidisciplinary skillset, from UI design to conceptual thinking to brand development
A good communicator of your work and the team’s workKnowledge of best practices in design and customer experience alongside industry trends
A proven ability to work collaboratively in teams, remotely and on-site
Experienced to work with marketers, brand managers, and developers
Strong organisational skills

Track record of high quality visual delivery across complex brand, web, and app work
You lean more towards crafting the aesthetics of an experience, but are just as comfortable conceptualising and developing the user journey of a product or service
You have shown entrepreneurial spirit as a proven self-starter who is energetic, pragmatic and welcoming of ambiguous challenges
You are able to combine world-class craft with strategic thinking and have an interest in learning about the business impact of design
Proficiency in creating both low and high-fidelity visual design prototypes
Comfortable leading visual effects and motion design for digital experiences
Strong experience in scoping, estimating and planning work
On a daily basis you will:
Lead visual UI and brand design work for a number of our clients and design projects. You understand the business needs, brand foundation, and product vision, ensure alignment to the respective brand experiences, and deliver usable and engaging designs to satisfy end users.
Work with and lead multi-disciplinary design teams with responsibility for creating and delivering design artefacts; this includes initial design discovery, sprints, workshops, through to execution and delivery of UI and brand.
Make every effort to understand our customers and their end-users through applicable user research.
Be collaborative in your approach to design.
Approach design pragmatically knowing when to make trade-offs and the impact of those decisions.
Contribute to our growing design system while remaining appropriately brand aligned and consistent, and ensuring we can deliver at pace and elevate design to a more strategic place within the respective organisations.
Play a critical role in evolving our design operation to become a state-of-the-art design practice.
Support our Creative Director and Design Strategist setting the design vision and direction for our design projects.
Desirable
Strong understanding of lean and agile methodologies.
Design-related degree or ability to show how other degree relates to role.
Fluency in English, preferably also in Finnish and some other language.
